From the Blakeley State Park web site "Nowhere else will you experience such a rare and compatible combination of multiple historic sites nestled in pristine woodlands along the Tensaw River." We will be taking a hike along the Tensaw-Mobile River Delta and having a picnic after under the historic oak trees. Please wear closed toed shoes for this event. Highly recommend wearing light colored clothing, sunscreen, bug spray and a hat. Please bring plenty of water, a snack and your picnic lunch. We will meet at the ranger's office at the front of the park promptly at 9am. There is a small park fee - $3 for adults and $2 for children 6 to 12. Under 6 is free. Directions: From I-10: Go north on U.S. Highway 98 to U.S. Highway 31 and take a right. Turn left on Highway 225 and go 4 1/2 miles. Park is on left.
From I-65: Go south on Highway 225. Go 15 miles and park is on right.
