Below are a list of Fresh Air Family Events for the month of September running through the first weekend of October. I am working on some exclusive homeschooling field trips for the homeschool community throughout the year and will post them as they come available.
Champion Tree Hike at Village Point Park Preserve September 10, 2011 3pm (good for those doing JMG and Apologia Botany or Biology this year or those doing nature journals)
Join us for an informative walk on wide easy paths at Village Point Park Preserve, the treasure of Daphne, AL. We will visit the legendary Famous Jackson Oak, and along the way learn about Alabama's Champion trees. Our walk will take us to the Crown Jewel of this historic park, the beautiful beach along Mobile Bay, with a reverse walk back to the parking lot.
Be sure to pack water and snack, bug spray may be needed, and don't forget your camera! We will meet at the gazebo near the parking lot.
