Fresh Air Family has set up a field trip at Weeks Bay for May 4th at 9am. This is for 3rd through 8th grade. There is going to be an environmental program put on by the Weeks Bay staff, followed by a tour of the Weeks Bay Reserve. This is a beautiful place and was recently talked about as a place to see in Elle Magazine. Size is limited (30) because they have limited classroom space so PLEASE REGISTER. This is a no cost field trip. The duration of the field trip is approximately two hours. Please be sure to pack a lunch to picnic afterward.
PLEASE do not be late. The Weeks Bay staff will start promptly at 9. PLEASE don't be discouraged if you have a "mix" of younger and older children. If you have younger children, feel free to bring them but understand that the classroom space is small and that strollers are not permitted. There is an area for mom's to hang out with littles and you are welcome to tour the facility with your younger children and walk on the boardwalk. Have TEENS? No problem - they are welcome to participate but just keep in mind the program is geared towards kids in the "middle" adolescent category. If they have never been to Weeks Bay they will definitely get something from it and at least get to see this beautiful habitat. This is one of the best times of the year to go to Weeks Bay.
BUT you have preschool to second graders! Don't FRET! We will be having a field trip JUST FOR K through 2nd GRADE May 25th that will be geared towards them.
BE SURE to email me if you will be attending at beautifulwreck2@bellsouth.net or kimwright@freshairfamily.com
